The differences between

Design & Art

Graphic design relies on design methodology to solve problems and craft clear visual messages. Art is similar to graphic design in that it involves image making, but the end result may be viewed differently by different people.

It's okay for art to be subjective

Branding

Creating identity systems for companies.

To me, it's important that brands be easily recognizable and we achieve this through clear and repetitive use of logo, color, typefaces/fonts, and messaging.

Surprising Projects

I met your professor via Instagram and since we've reworked her website, made new business cards and I even got to design her art book for her most recent showing of From the Horse's Mouth.

Animation for Social Media

I've always worked with consumer packaged goods (cpg) and branding projects so this kind of gives me a leg up on creating more assets for brands to showcase their products. Recently social media has been a big deal for brands to have wider representation in the market. Short videos that show product flavor and benefits are a great way for brands to show people what they got!

I make a lot of gifs

It's my favorite thing to do.

Do you know what makes a gif a gif?

Animation to music. This is for my friend Jake Lloyd, a singer in Austin.
